Ricardo Yates must believe in the Big Bang theory. He proved it today by banging three deep against the Calgary Lynx. The hard-hitting Scranton Supernovas left fielder added a lot of firepower and excitement to the 7-4 Supernovas win, leaving fans and the opposing dugout buzzing about his standout performance.

"He looked real good today," Calgary manager Thomas Campbell said later. "I think the guys were awful impressed by him. Frustrated, but impressed."

For the game, Yates had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs. The 24-year-old is known in league circles as a tireless worker, and told reporters he has recently been putting in extra time fine-tuning his swing, "to keep it short, compact and simple."

"Looks like it worked today," he said.

Ricardo Yates hit a two-run home run off Rafael González in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Rafael González in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rafael González in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

So far this season, Yates has recorded a .304 batting average with 104 hits, 19 home runs, 63 RBIs, 60 runs scored and a .367 OBP.
