The Bakersfield Nobles designated hitter powered three into the stands at Dodos Ballpark today against the Hialeah Dodos. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Spoelstra told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Nobles toppled Hialeah by a score of 9-7, knocking in 6 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Bakersfield manager Jesús Román said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Addy Spoelstra hit a solo-shot off Eric Colquhoun in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off André Noël in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Eric Hurt in the 9th.
