Bloomington Eliminated from Playoff Contention Wednesday, September 4th, 2041 The Bloomington Longnecks may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in USPL Triple A. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Longnecks manager Coy Knight said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Bloomington last appeared in the postseason in 2035. This is their 6th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 21 times in their 26-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Longnecks have missed the playoffs 7 times. Bloomington last won the PL AAA Championship in 2035. |
