Player of the Week: Montreal's Allen Monday, July 16th , 2063 Justin Allen must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .500 clip, then the Montreal first baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the PAAA Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Allen batted .500 (13-for-26) with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. For the season, Allen is batting .239 with 26 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 22 times and batted in 20. |
