Off-Field Injury Strikes Lance Leslie Saturday, August 13th , 2061 In a news release, the Montreal Machine announced that starting pitcher Lance Leslie has a ruptured achilles tendon. The injury will keep Leslie out of action for about 5-6 months. The statement did not indicate how the mishap occurred. To date, Leslie has a 6-8 mark in 17 starts with a 3.60 ERA. He has given up 103 hits in 110 innings, struck out 102 and issued 27 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .243 batting average against him. |
