PAAA Player of the Week Named Monday, August 29th , 2061 Montreal fans have something to crow about today as Montreal third baseman Melvin Williams nabbed the USPL Triple A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Williams. He posted a .400 average (4-for-10) this past week with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. Williams has a .232 average and a .344 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 63 hits, 3 home runs and driven in 23 runs. |
