Maxwell Says Goodbye to Baseball
Friday, August 11th , 2062
Stanton Maxwell announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Jersey City Tritons organization.
Maxwell, who is 36 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future.
"I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all."
Maxwell went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference.
"I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said.
Lifetime Maxwell has a won-lost record of 2 victories and 4 losses with 48 strikeouts in 56 innings and a 4.02 ERA.
