Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Friday, September 1st , 2062
If there wasn't a history between Clifford Tolbert of Pennsauken and Albert Wallace of Jersey City, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Tolbert said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
So far this season, Tolbert has 4 home runs and a .259 batting average.
Wallace's record this season is 1-and-5 with 1 save and a 5.90 ERA. He has given up 72 hits in 71.2 innings with 53 strikeouts.
