Monday, September 11th , 2062
Kansas fans have something to crow about today as Kansas center fielder Nathan Dooley nabbed the USPL Triple A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Dooley.
He posted a .500 average (6-for-12) this past week with no home runs, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
This season, Dooley has posted a batting average of .295 with 97 hits in 329 at-bats, 7 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has also scored 38 runs, walked 20 times and compiled a .339 OBP.
