PAAA Announces #1 Player Award
Thursday, October 6th , 2061
At the age of 25, Carlos Sánchez of the Syracuse Starks could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2061 was good enough to win the second baseman the USPL Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .286 batting average this year, as well as a .347 on-base percentage. He played 99 games and racked up 102 hits, 14 doubles, 4 triples, 18 home runs, 67 RBIs and 55 runs scored.
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 10. Mike Henshaw Jr. of the Baton Rouge Brass finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Ken Byrd of the Norfolk Pajaritos finished third.
