Kansas's King Snags Outstanding Pitcher Award

USPL Triple A hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2062 season when the Kansas manager wrote "Carter King" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win.

He excelled with a 11-4 mark and 1.92 ERA in 21 starts, tossed 131.1 innings, fanned 103 and held opposing teams to a .206 average.

For his superb season King was today named the PAAA Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Yoshimasa Sato of the Baton Rouge Brass finished second in voting, while Juan Pacheco of the Pennsauken Flyers finished third.
