Flyers Martínez Suspended Wednesday, May 5th , 2055 The baseball commissioner has suspended Flyers third baseman Juan Martínez 4 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Syracuse game at Stark Stadium. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Martínez said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." |
