Season Over for Pat Jarvis in Toledo
Monday, August 8th, 2044
Toledo starting pitcher Pat Jarvis could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Lancaster game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Jarvis would be out 12-13 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Thus far this season, Jarvis has worked 51.2 innings with 51 strikeouts en route to a 3-3 record and a 4.88 ERA.
