Players Suspended in Fat Cats-Rails Donnybrook Monday, May 28th , 2063 After an intense confrontation, both the Fat Cats Ánibal Córdova and the Rails Allan Lawrence were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Ottawa-Richland game. Ánibal Córdova will miss 4 games, while Allan Lawrence was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ánibal Córdova commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this season, Córdova is hitting .286 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 63 at-bats and a .410 OBP. |
