Dolphins Halt Bursey Hit Streak Monday, June 25th , 2063 The Pine Island Dolphins pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Chris Bursey hitless in 2 at-bats during the club's 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Fat Cats at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the center fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Bursey said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Bursey is hitting at a .290 mark this season. His stats show 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has played 43 games for the Fat Cats. |
