Segura Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Ottawa Saturday, July 14th , 2063 Toledo second baseman Ángel Segura experienced something against the Ottawa Fat Cats he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Fat Cats pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 21 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Saboteurs to a 5-0 victory at Nationals Park. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 21-game hitting streak," Segura joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." For the year, Segura has hit at a .319 clip with 15 RBIs, 4 home runs and 28 runs scored. |
