3AA Awards Best Batter Prize to Quintanilla Monday, August 20th , 2063 Lancaster fans have something to crow about today as Lancaster second baseman Roberto Quintanilla nabbed the M3L Double A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Quintanilla. He posted a .500 average (8-for-16) this past week with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. This year, Quintanilla has collected a .259 batting average to date with 69 hits in 266 at-bats, 45 RBIs, 13 home runs and scored 29 times. He has played in 75 games. |
