Walker Rips 3 HR Wednesday, September 16th , 2054 Lawrence Walker brutalized the Westwood Sixshooters pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 7-3 victory at Sixshooters Stadium. The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis third baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Lawrence Walker today," Sixshooters manager Héctor Montoya said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Lawrence Walker hit a three-run home run off Irving Bouman in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Irving Bouman in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Seiichi Nakagawa in the 8th. In the 2054 season Walker is hitting .354 with 8 home runs. |
