Velthuizen Is 3AA's Best Pitcher in September Thursday, October 1st , 2054 Yan Velthuizen really put his best foot forward in September with 2 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month honors in the M3L Double A. When he got the start for the Barton Springs Blues, it was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 19 innings of work, Velthuizen limited opposing batters to 11 base hits and a .169 batting average. He notched 12 strikeouts, issued 6 walks and had a 0.95 ERA.
