Saboteurs End Hudson Streak Wednesday, May 18th , 2061 The Lake Murray MotorBoaters lost to the Toledo Saboteurs, 7-3, at Heron Field, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Ryan Hudson's 21-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-5 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Hudson, we would win the game," Saboteurs manager Rodney Dudley explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." So far this year, Hudson is batting .333 with 3 home runs. |
