Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, July 1st , 2062 Gary Sharpe of the Arizona Javelina and Otojiro Kozawa of the St. Petersburg Thunder received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Baby Thunder Dome. Sharpe is hitting .306 this year with 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 186 at-bats, 18 walks and a .374 on-base percentage. Sharpe has played in 47 games. Thus far this season, Kozawa has tossed 57.2 innings in 11 starts, fanned 47 batters, walked 24 and put up a 4.99 ERA with 1 win and 6 losses. |
