Giles Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Monday, July 16th , 2063 The hot bat of Thunder first baseman Eric Giles continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 8-2 loss to the Pilgrims at Baby Thunder Dome. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Eric Giles flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Giles is hitting .344 so far this season with 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 44 hits including 3 home runs, 16 walks and .417 OBP. |
