Billings center fielder Martín Rodríguez thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Billings to a win, 9-5, over Gwinnett. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Rodríguez said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Rodríguez, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in home runs with 10, was 3-for-5 on the day with 5 runs batted in. Martín Rodríguez hit a solo-shot off Dan Pittman in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Dan Pittman in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Logan Wrighton in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. For the year, Rodríguez has hit .237 with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 24 runs. |
