Ithaca's Gillespie Top SAA Batter in July Wednesday, August 1st , 2063 For a rookie just breaking in, Chris Gillespie certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the SAA Batter of the Month award for July. The 23-year-old third baseman for the Ithaca Fighting Imps hit .309 with 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored. Gillespie has collected 64 hits for the Fighting Imps this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 30 RBIs and scored 35 runs while batting .269. |
