Newell Picks Up Best SAA Batter Honors for July Monday, August 1st , 2061 Gulf Coast Turbeaus fans believe they've got a talented young star in Gil Newell. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in July, as he hit .329 with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and 19 runs scored. The end result was the catcher being named the USSL Double A Batter of the Month. In his season totals Newell has 18 home runs and a .283 batting average. |
