St. Petersburg Loses Gaines for Year Friday, August 31st , 2063 The season is finished for Hal Gaines of the St. Petersburg Thunder. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Thunder starting pitcher suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Barton Springs Blues. Team doctors said it would take at least 11 months to heal. So far this season, Gaines has a 4-1 record with a 3.39 ERA. |
