Asheville Off to the Playoffs Sunday, September 4th , 2061 Celebrating a playoff clinch never gets old, according to Niek Proeme of the Asheville Highlanders. "I could do this each and every year," the starting pitcher said as he celebrated his team officially having clinched a playoff spot. "It's why we play the game - to get to the playoffs and have a chance to become SL AA Championship champions." The Silver AA club has a record of 58-35 and will be seeking the franchise's 5th USSL Double A championship. |
