Lawler 5-for-6 for Chesapeake
Tuesday, August 1st , 2062
Bill Lawler had an answer for everything the Arizona Javelina threw at him at Javelina Ballpark. The Chesapeake shortstop went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Cangrejos Fantasmas a win, 15-3.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Lawler said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Bill Lawler singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Takeo Tanaka in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Manuel Muñóz in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this year, Lawler has hit .296 with 10 home runs and 40 RBIs.
