McCauley Gets Award for Relief Work

He may only be 20, but Mike McCauley of the Gulf Coast Turbeaus has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the USSL Double A.

The reliever was today named the SAA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2061.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 2 saves in 27 relief appearances and 26 strikeouts in 26 innings. He had a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.73 ERA.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. John Harris of the Gulf Coast Turbeaus finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Tom Butler of the Barton Springs Blues finished third with 1 first place vote.
