Rojas Keeps Hit Streak Alive Monday, September 15th , 2059 The Philadelphia Liberty Academy fell to the Providence Pilgrims in Liberty Academy Field, even as 23-year-old right fielder Bartolo Rojas upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Rojas finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Liberty Academy from dropping the 6-1 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Rojas. Bartolo Rojas struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year, Rojas has hit at a .338 clip with 136 hits, 21 home runs, 83 RBIs and 64 runs scored. |
