Gómez Honored, 2062 SAA Outstanding Hitter Award Monday, October 9th , 2062 The future looks extremely bright for Carlos Gómez. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in USSL Double A. Gómez has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USSL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award. "I didn't expect to hit .368 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said. The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas star also put up a .416 on-base percentage this year, with 103 hits, 20 doubles, no triples, 18 home runs, 62 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10.
