Marquette Loses António Cardenas, Will Miss Season Wednesday, May 27th , 2054 A blow for António Cardenas today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 8 months with a ruptured medial collateral ligament. Cardenas suffered the injury running the bases. Although officials from the Marquette Miners are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Cardenas's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this season Cardenas has hit .261 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 7 times. |
