Ogres Jeff McDonald to Miss Year Thursday, July 26th , 2063 When Jeff McDonald was hurt against the Vancouver Vipers, the Olympia Ogres were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old starting pitcher suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that McDonald would miss 7-8 months of the season. Up to now McDonald has compiled an ERA of 5.51 with a 3-5 mark over 12 starts. He has 65 strikeouts in 67 innings and has held opponents to a .270 batting average. |
