Postseason Bid Ends for Nuevo Mexico Monday, September 5th , 2061 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis has been extinguished, at least for 2061. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Mariachis manager Andrés Ventura issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. The Mariachis have missed the playoffs 25 times in their 26 years as a USPL Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2045. In the last 10 seasons, the Mariachis have missed the playoffs 7 times. Nuevo Mexico has won the PL AA Championship 2 times in their history. |
