Screaming Eagles Celebrate Wild Card Win Thursday, September 22nd , 2061 The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles certainly made things interesting. The Premier AA club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said starting pitcher Nick Hensley. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Screaming Eagles have in fact made it, with their 63-41 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 23rd USPL Double A championship. |
