Wright Grabs PAA Top Pitcher Trophy Saturday, October 1st , 2061 Harley Wright left little doubt in the minds of USPL Double A officials that he should be named September's Pitcher of the Month for his outstanding performance. "I wasn't always confident at the start of a game," said Wright. "Sometimes it's hard to get into the flow -- the calls aren't going your way or you're trying to spot your pitches too much. You just have to relax and use what you've been taught all your life -- get back to basics -- good mechanics, control, location, keep the ball down." The 23-year-old tossed 17.2 innings of quality baseball -- going 3-0 with a 1.02 ERA and 20 strikeouts. In his whole career, the 23-year-old Wright has won 7 and lost 4, piling up 74 strikeouts and 15 walks in 79.2 innings with a 3.28 ERA. Opponents have hit .266 against him. |
