George Boyce Hurt, Out for Year Sunday, May 1st , 2061 The doctors have spoken and George Boyce of the Bethesda Atoms didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Boyce sustained his season-ending injury during the Vancouver Vipers game yesterday at Atoms Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Bethesda medical staff reported Boyce had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. |
