Elmore and Cole Suspended for Free-for-All Friday, May 12th , 2062 Yesterday at Imps Park Ralph Elmore and David Cole got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Olympia Ogres and Ithaca Fighting Imps. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Elmore will have to sit out 4 while Cole would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season, Cole has nailed down 2 saves. In 3.1 innings he has fanned 0 batters and walked 2. His record is 1-1 with a 13.50 ERA and the opposition is batting .231 against him. |
