Players Suspended in Toros-Flanderses Donnybrook Monday, May 30th , 2061 If there wasn't a history between Alfred Ellison of Tijuana and Josh Smith of Hudsonville, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Ellison said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season, Ellison is hitting .219 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 64 at-bats and a .275 OBP. |
