Cajuns Lose Roberts for Season Friday, June 23rd , 2051 David Roberts has to call it a season. The Crowley Cajuns starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Hicksville Hounds and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Roberts was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn meniscus and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. So far this year Roberts has made 9 starts, tossed 56 innings, struck out 55 batters and walked 10. His record is 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .237 batting average. |
