Great Day for Samuels, Hits for Cycle Friday, August 7th, 2043 The Long Island Ducks wasted a big day at the plate by shortstop George Samuels today in a 3-2 loss to the Hicksville Hounds. Samuels hit for the cycle, stroking 4 hits off the Hicksville pitching staff in a losing effort. "I actually didn't feel particularly great out there today," Samuels said in the clubhouse following the loss. "It was kind of random chance that the balls found some gaps, and here we are." For the day, he finished 4-for-5, had 1 run batted in and scored 1 run. George Samuels doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ostoja Randjelovic in the 9th.
