González Cracks 5 Hits Monday, May 31st , 2060 Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Luis González said his club's tilt with the Redwood Rhinos "felt almost like batting practice." The 21-year-old first baseman went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate. "I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later. However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Crowley Cajuns, who were topped by the Rhinos, 5-3. "It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Cajuns manager Bill Wallace said. "Sometimes Luis is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose." Luis González singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this year, González is batting .320 with 1 home run.
