Garza Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, July 10th , 2054 Cajuns second baseman Iván Garza has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-4 in today's game against the Hicksville Hounds. Crowley won the ballgame 5-2. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Iván Garza struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 9th and struck out in the 10th. This year Garza is hitting .298 with 65 hits, 10 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 34 runs. |
