Uruguayans End Gross Streak Tuesday, July 11th , 2062 Lady Luck was not on the side of Al Gross or his teammates at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Everything went the way of the Germantown Uruguayans, who not only came away with the 6-3 victory over Crowley, but also held Gross hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 21-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Gross said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." Gross is currently hitting .356 with 2 home runsand 12 RBIs, while scoring 10 runs. |
