PA- Player of the Week Named Monday, July 18th , 2061 A hot-hitting week got Wally Valdés the USPL Low A Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Tulsa shortstop slammed them for a .409 average, 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In the postgame press conference, Valdés shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." This season, Valdés has 9 home runs and a .272 batting average. |
