Centennial Dioquino Out Rest Of Season Monday, August 20th , 2063 Fort Knox reliever Edilberto Dioquino could miss the remainder of the season because of radial nerve compression. He exited yesterday's Crowley game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Dioquino would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Running the numbers on Dioquino for the year, he has made 22 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 4-1 won-lost mark with a 2.76 ERA. In pitching 32.2 innings, he has totaled 32 strikeouts and 10 walks. |
