Castro Named PA- Batter of the Month Saturday, September 1st , 2063 When Fernando Castro stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the USPL Low A Batter of the Month award. The young Philadelphia second baseman posted a .304 batting average with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 15 runs. Castro also worked pitchers for 21 walks to post a .473 on-base percentage. This year, Castro has socked 80 hits in 259 at-bats for a .309 average with 16 home runs. He is getting on base at a .440 pace and his totals also include 54 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
