Sea Dogs Baxter Out Rest Of Season Monday, July 11th , 2061 Maine starting pitcher Brett Baxter could miss the remainder of the season because of bone chips in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Bompton game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Baxter would be out 7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." This year, Baxter has posted a 3-1 mark in 11 starts and has a 1.34 ERA. |
