Hit Streak Now at 20 for Cook Saturday, July 16th , 2061 The hot bat of Liberty U-21 third baseman Dan Cook continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-5 in today's 4-2 loss to the Puffer Fish at Ballpark of Liberty. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Dan Cook singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 10th. Cook is currently batting .315 with 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 69 hits in 219 at-bats. |
