Cook Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Thursday, July 21st , 2061 Dan Cook, third baseman for the Philadelphia Liberty U-21, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 6-3 victory over the Bompton Baby Lakers at Field of the Browns. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Dan Cook struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off George Paddock in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. In the current season, Cook has put up a .315 batting average with 76 hits, 10 home runs, 29 runs batted in and scored 42 runs. |
